Access Bank Tanzania has donated 10 computers with state of the art software worth TZS.3 million to Turiani Secondary School in Dar es Salaam that will assist the students to achieve better grades.
This is part of the commercial bank’s community support strategy and promotion of innovation within the education sector.
It envisages that provision of innovative tools to assist students will simplify the way they learn and prepare for their exams.
Speaking during the handing over ceremony, the bank’s Senior Marketing Officer, Mr. Sijaona Simon Malosha, said they have been touched as an institution by how future generations have been experiencing difficulties in accessing computers and other equipment.
The computers and other learning software will ease teachers’ work as both students and teachers will receive training for four days on the various educational programmes installed within the computers.
“We appreciate that Turuani Secondary School had taken an initiative of building a computer lab. The rest was up to us,” Mr. Malosha told the gathering at the ceremony.
